We have recently completed a 3 month assignment taking over the running of a $65 million dollar project for Mercedes-Benz Auto Finance located in Beijing, China.
The project needed transparency and bringing back on track, together with alignment with the software vendor. which was completed successfully.
during this time, several high risk issues were mitigated. The project was a major systems replacement program to replace the back-end and front-end systems for the leasing and financing of Daimler branded vehicles.
The position also required the management of two steering committee boards.
As a result of the success of the project turnaround listed here, we were asked to assume the temporary regional CIO role for Mercedes-Benz Auto Financing China, until a replacement CIO was found.
In fact, our person on-site acting as the CIO was selected as the prime candidate to take over the position, but due to contractual reasons this was not possible. he hust happened to be our founder, Mark PArker who was the candidate.
The position was also a board level one, so Mark was involved in stabilizing operations, supporting new digital initiatives, as well as severl running large scale projects.
